About

Make Art. Feel Better.
I’m Lisa Sonora — painter, former art therapist, author of The Creative Entrepreneur and 100 Portraits in 100 Days: A Quarantine Diary.
My original paintings are in private collections in Australia, Canada, France, the Netherlands, the UK, and the USA.
My primary medium is the visual journal: a blank sketchbook where you paint, draw, collage, write, and think.
I write about and teach creative practice as a trauma-informed, process-first way of making art.
You don’t have to fix yourself or your life before you start creating. Making art helps you feel better. It’s how you put humpty dumpty together again.
This winter I’m teaching the 15th Anniversary Holiday Edition of the Creative + Practice Experience, live, from December 1 to January 23. Come make art with me through the holidays, and start the new year with your creative practice already in place. Registration closes December 4.
