Just sayin’.

I dared to post the painting with just the title and those two words on Instagram.

#icantbelieveyouresingle — was one response to this piece.

Which I think is a compliment? You can tell I’m a GenXer because we correct our spelling in text messages, use punctuation, and hesitate to abbreviate.

That hashtag missing its apostrophes distracts me from the sentiment.

Can you tell I’m trying to distract you from the title of this painting?

These small, original portraits are painted on top pages cut and upcycled from my sketchbooks.

This portrait is from the series, 100 Portraits in 100 Days: A Quarantine Diary.

What began as a creative challenge to focus my energies during the first weeks of solo quarantine in March 2020, evolved into a diary of my experience.
