I’m on the road again…
Hiya Gorgeous Genius!
Thanks for stopping by – I’ll be in Portland, Oregon this week to facilitate a business planning intensive for a client, and then on Friday, I’m teaching the following workshop that is open to the public.
This is the one and only time I’m teaching in person in 2013, and when I was offered the space to teach, I said heck yeah!
We’re being spontaneous, and it will be a small gathering of just 10 or so. As of Tuesday, November 5th, there are three spots available.
I go back to the SF Bay area for one day, then leave for Mexico – where I’ll be for the next couple of months. Maybe more, maybe less…
I’m going to be on a writing and business planning retreat to ready for 2014 and all the new goodness that is in the works.
Will keep you posted, but meanwhile, if you’re feeling spontaneous and what to meet up in Portland, the details are below.
Dreaming on Paper: The Creative Sketchbook
How To Make & Keep A Visual Journal for Discovery, Insight, Healing, and…Pure Fun!
with Lisa Sonora Beam, author of The Creative Entrepreneur and Sketchbooks: A Memoir
Dreaming On Paper is a an live, in-person workshop that guides you through the process of visual journaling in your own creative sketchbook.
Dreaming On Paper helps you excavate your own true desires, innate wisdom, and intuition, with ease, gentleness and joy.
Lisa will show you how to create without fear of the blank page, learning how to play and make a happy mess without fear of doing it wrong or not doing it perfectly.
Absolutely no experience is necessary.
We’ll use simple supplies that you can easily find, stuff you might already have around the house, or buy for kids.
Visual journaling techniques are designed to get you creating right away (without fear!) and incorporate mixed media collage, photography, painting, and writing.
The way we approach the blank page is a metaphor for life.
Lisa will show you how it is fun to create, how pleasurable it is to tap into the visions and dreams that wait within you, eager for expression.
Especially if you don’t think of yourself as “creative” or “artistic”. Or if you’ve lost confidence in your creativity lately.
You’ll be amazed at what you create after just a few hours together!
Bonus: Your registration also includes the e-course edition of Dreaming On Paper ($97 value), so you can have even more in-depth access whenever you want to dip in and enjoy the workshop.

For those who want to learn more about the what and why of Dreaming On Paper, a few words from Lisa:
Every idea first begins with a dream, or some inking to create or grow that we can’t quite name.
My dream is the simple desire to create beauty and use art for healing.
I discovered how to follow my dream and even make a living from it, using this simple, yet powerful creative process.
I want to help you give voice to your creative dreams, and keeping a creative sketchbook is the most simple, fun, and easy direct route I know to take you there.
Visual journaling and keeping sketchbooks has been a lifelong practice for me, one that’s supported me in every area of my life and work.
I first began sharing these powerful techniques for insight, healing and problem-solving with patients in treatment for substance abuse and eating disorders.
Since then, for more than 20 years, thousands of people around the world (on five continents and counting!) have experienced the power and magic of visual journaling with me at retreats and in workshops.
Dreaming On Paper gives your the most powerful and potent tools that I rely on every day in my life and work, and that have joyfully empowered so many other creative souls.
I can’t wait to share this with you!
I can’t wait to share this with you in Portland!
You’ll come away with your very own Magic Book (that’s how many participants describe their sketchbook, and the process!)
