“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.
You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.”
― Anne Lamott
It doesn’t matter how many times you circle around an attempt to start something new, do something new, follow through on something new.
Creative acts of any kind require daily beginnings. Over and over again.
So start. Start again. And again.
Start over. Pick up where you left off last time.
Or chuck it all out and start fresh. Start all over again.
Try not to be hard on yourself if you struggle with creative beginnings.
Don’t think if you started once, and then stopped, that all is lost.
Nothing is lost. You’re learning what starting looks like and feels like.
Dare to keep starting. Feel that spark of hope igniting.
You’ll get the hang of it.
Keep showing up.
Don’t give up.
Rinse and repeat.
Today’s Journal Prompts
Today, I’m just showing up to…

I’m working on…
I’m not giving up on…

Journal Writing Made Easier
During the first 30 Day Journal Project, I found that having the prompts printed out in advance helped me get right into my writing for the day.
This is my lazy writing & journaling method. It works!
